We've never believed shabu-shabu has to be quiet about itself, and Irvine is where we said so the loudest. When we opened on Alton Parkway in Westpark Plaza in 2025, we built a room we'd want to sit in ourselves — a mirrored ceiling above you, artwork swinging between classical geisha portraiture and full cyberpunk, because a hot pot dinner can also be a good story afterward.

Our menu runs three tiers — Silver, Gold, and Diamond, from $55 to $98 a person — climbing from Australian wagyu to unlimited Japanese A5. Choose from five broths, including a Thai tom yum that's become a quiet favorite alongside our house dashi. Start with the A5 wagyu shoulder sushi or tartare, then make your way through our dry-ice-fogged vegetable bar. Our tip: order your tiers backwards, cheapest cut first, so the meal builds toward the best bite. We built Mikiya to be an evening, not just a plate of wagyu. Come see what we mean.
