1. Our commitment
Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House ("Mikiya", "we", "us", "our") wants mikiyaofficial.com to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control or keyboard-only navigation. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix, and we review and improve the site on a rolling basis.
2. Standards we follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most commonly referenced by U.S. state and federal accessibility guidance. This is a goal we are working toward across the site rather than a guarantee that every page meets every criterion today.
3. What we've done
- Structured headings, landmarks and semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate the page logically.
- Descriptive
alttext on meaningful images, including menu photography and location photos. - A colour palette chosen for reasonable contrast against our black background, and layouts that support browser text-resizing and zoom without loss of content.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, including the mobile menu, image sliders and the cookie-preferences panel — no functionality that depends solely on a mouse or touch gesture.
- Respect for your device's "reduce motion" setting: sliders and scroll animations are simplified or disabled when you have this turned on.
4. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible. Known gaps include embedded video without captions, and some third-party widgets (see Section 5) that we do not fully control. We are working through these as we update the site, and we welcome reports of anything we've missed.
5. Third-party content
Our site links out to and embeds services we don't operate — including Yelp and Google reservation and map links, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and 小红书 (Xiaohongshu). Those services are responsible for the accessibility of their own experiences, and we cannot guarantee they meet the same standard as our own pages.
6. Feedback and assistance
If you use assistive technology and encounter a barrier on our site, or if you'd like to request information in an alternate format, please let us know — we'll work with you to make the content available and to fix the underlying issue.
