Rewards Program Terms

1. Eligibility and enrollment

• You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States to enroll.
• Membership is personal to you. Only one account is permitted per person and per mobile phone number.
• Enrollment requires your name, mobile phone number, birthday (month and day) and gender. Accurate information is required to receive benefits — in particular, birthday benefits are based on the birthday recorded on your account.
• Membership is for personal, non-commercial use. Accounts used for resale or commercial purposes may be closed.

2. Membership tiers

Tier status is assessed on a rolling basis. Qualifying spend is measured on the amount actually paid, excluding tax, gratuity and the value of any redeemed benefits.

3. Explorer benefits

• Welcome gift. One complimentary Mikiya signature wagyu nigiri, redeemable once only, on your first in-restaurant visit after enrolling, and only with a dine-in purchase.
• Points. Earn points on qualifying spend as described in Section 6.

4. Mikiya Plus benefits and annual fee

4.1 Annual fee

• The fee is $28 per person per year, and is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
• The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, except where required by law.
• Membership may only be purchased in connection with a dining visit.
• Membership does not renew automatically. You may purchase a new term when your current term ends.

4.2 Benefits

• Member pricing on every menu tier.
• Guest privilege. On each visit, one accompanying guest may dine at the same member price. Additional guests pay the regular menu price.
• Birthday benefit. The Basic Menu is complimentary for you on your birthday and on the three days before or after it; at our two Honolulu locations, where the Basic Menu is not offered, this benefit applies to the Silver Menu. If you order a higher menu tier, you pay only the difference between that menu and the complimentary menu. This benefit applies to the member only, is limited to one use per membership year, and requires photo identification at the restaurant. It becomes available from your next visit after the membership is purchased — it cannot be used on the same visit in which you join.
• Points marketplace and member previews as described in Section 7.

5. Mikiya Black benefits

• Bespoke tableware. A handmade Japanese tableware set engraved with the Mikiya logo and your membership number, presented to you during a dining visit. Limited to one set per member. Please allow time for production.
• Priority access. First opportunity to reserve and taste exceptionally rare cuts and premium ingredients, subject to availability.
• Annual gift box. Each December, a brand gift box, provided you hold Mikiya Black status at the time of distribution.
• Mikiya Black status also includes all Mikiya Plus benefits while your Mikiya Plus membership is active.

6. Earning points

• Base rate: 1 point per $1 of qualifying spend, based on the amount actually paid.
• Qualifying spend excludes sales tax, gratuity, gift-card purchases, the $28 membership fee, and any amount paid using redeemed points or a complimentary benefit.
• Double points week: during the last week of each calendar month (Monday through Sunday), qualifying spend earns 2 points per $1.
• Points are credited to your account after the transaction is finalised, normally within 24 hours.
• Points must be claimed at the time of payment by identifying your membership. Points cannot normally be added to a past transaction, though we may do so at our discretion with a valid receipt.
• Points have no cash value, are not property, and cannot be sold, transferred, combined between accounts, or bequeathed.

7. Redeeming points

• Redemption value: 100 points = $1 off.
• Minimum redemption: 100 points. Points must be redeemed in increments of 100.
• Points may be redeemed toward eligible food and drink, and toward rewards we offer from time to time, which may include pre-packed wagyu, seasonal fruit, seasonal off-menu desserts, a sake tasting flight, a half-price guest pass, a Mikiya furoshiki wrapping cloth, take-home broth base, or a donation to a charitable organisation of our selection.
• Reward availability varies by location and season and may change or be withdrawn at any time.
• Points cannot be redeemed for cash, applied to tax or gratuity, or used to pay the membership fee.
• Redemptions are final and cannot be reversed once processed.
• If a transaction on which points were earned is later refunded, the corresponding points will be deducted from your balance.

8. Referrals

• When you refer someone who enrolls as a new member and completes their first qualifying purchase, you earn 3 points per $1 on your own next qualifying transaction.
• The referred person must be a genuinely new member who has not previously held a Mikiya membership.
• Each person may be referred only once. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts and referrals using phone numbers or email addresses you control do not qualify.
• We may withhold or reverse referral rewards we reasonably believe were obtained through abuse.

9. Expiration, inactivity and forfeiture

• Points expire 12 months after they are earned if not redeemed.
• If an account has no qualifying activity for 24 consecutive months, we may close the account and forfeit any remaining points.
• We may suspend or close an account, and forfeit points and benefits, if we reasonably believe the account has been used fraudulently, abusively, or in violation of these terms.
• If you ask us to delete your personal information, your membership account, points balance and tier status will be closed and cannot be restored.

10. General conditions

• Benefits are available for dine-in at participating Mikiya locations and cannot be combined with other offers, discounts or promotions unless we state otherwise.
• Benefits and member pricing require you to identify your membership before payment is processed.
• We may require photo identification to verify your identity when a benefit is used.
• Menu items, pricing, availability and benefits vary by location and may change at any time.
• Where the whole party is required to order the same set menu, that requirement continues to apply to members and their guests.
• Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House reserves the right of final interpretation of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Changes and termination

We may change these terms, change or withdraw any benefit, adjust earning or redemption rates, or discontinue the rewards program at any time. We will post the updated terms on this page and revise the "Last updated" date.

If we discontinue the program entirely, we will give at least 30 days' notice where reasonably practicable so that you may redeem your remaining points, and we will honour any unexpired paid Mikiya Plus membership for the remainder of its term or provide a pro-rata refund.

Your continued participation after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
